The Annual Spring Fling is here! Tarra Corcoran and the PTO have put together a wonderful evening next Saturday, March 18, at 6:00, at the PA Club. Silent and live auctions have many great items to bid on from trips off island, trips on island to eating out and jewelry. Music will be provided by the Dock Dance Band with an evening of dancing. $10 at the door and tickets are available at Alley’s, Waterside Market and Tony’s Market. Come out for a great time and support the Charter School.

We are having our 2nd Taco Night in a month. Taco Night is this Wednesday, March 22, from 5:00-7:00. The event is to benefit our High School international trip to Costa Rica. $10 for two tacos, beans and rice and you can get them to go or eat in! Come out and support our high school students.

Young King Arthur and the Sword in the Stone opens next Saturday, March 25, at the Katharine Cornell Theater. Shows are 2:00 and 6:00 on Saturday and the final performance is Sunday, March 26, at 2:00. Let’s all come out and support the actors and actresses!!!

MCAS testing begins this week. The Grade 10 students will be sitting for their ELA test on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings this week. The calendar below includes testing dates for the respective grades throughout the school. I remind our community that student participation in MCAS tests plays an important role in assessing schoolwide performance and the school’s performance rating as determined by the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The school’s rating of level 3 for the 2015-2016 school year was primarily due to the large percentage of students who opted not to take the test. Schools who participate at less 90% automatically receive a level 3 rating.

The Airport Fitness & Tennis Club has scheduled its annual 7th & 8th Grade Girls Day on Saturday, April 1, 11:00-1:30. Please RSVP by March 31 by calling 508-696-8000.

PEP schedules were sent out last week. Please email Alex if you need to reschedule.
