Project Period

MEXICO 2009

Project Period takes place twice a year, the first two weeks of January, and the last two weeks of the school year. The students select a two-week course of study from an array of courses designed by the faculty or by designing their own area of study through Independent Study. Curriculum connections to the MA Curriculum Frameworks as well as the assessment rubrics are the foundation of each course. Each course requires a public exhibition of the work accomplished during the two week, sixty hour course.

Course titles during the 2009 school year have included: Astronomy, Drumming, Trips to Italy and Mexico, Illustration, Fishing on the Vineyard, Small-Scale Building, a Walkabout in the Green Mountain National Park and Independent Study.  Independent Study selections have included: Dance, Photography, Small Business, Animation, Animal Abuse, History of Paintball, Clothing design and creation, and writing one’s own novel.

PROJECT PERIOD EXHIBITIONS
WILL BE HELD ON JUNE 23RD. FROM 10:00-12:00.
ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.
